Welcome

Thank you for your interest in NFF’s products and services! NFF is a national nonprofit lender and consultant, helping mission-driven organizations adapt, thrive, and drive positive change.

The following questions will help us better understand the current experiences and challenges facing your organization, to be able to respond with support that meets your needs. Answers are for informational purposes only to help us better understand market needs, and will not have any impact on the assessment of the application.

Below is a list of our current lending eligibility requirements. Please note that we are constantly looking at innovative and effective ways to sustain and strengthen the nonprofit sector through our financing products and services; therefore, even if we do not have the right financing solution for you right now, we will use the information you provide to inform our product design and seek new sources of capital that will enable us to be nimbler and more responsive to our clients and the communities they serve.

Eligibility requirements for national clients:

  • 501(c)(3) organizations or others focused on low-income or underserved communities
  • Have unrestricted operating revenue of at least $3 million a year
  • Typically seek a loan or line of credit of $500,000+
*We will soon be able to offer smaller-sized loans to organizations with less than $3MM in annual revenue in New York City and San Francisco Bay Area, and are particularly interested in those organizations focused on low-income or underserved communities, led by and serving communities of color.

After you submit this form, we will contact you and let you know how we can help you. In the event we don’t have a product ready for you right now, we will keep your information on file and reach out to you when we are able to offer a wider range of products in the future, as we continue seeking flexible capital sources and launching small funding initiatives.

Defining Community

NFF is embarking on a new strategic plan that focuses on how organizations center community in their work. To do this, we ask that you answer a few questions that help us understand how your organization engages with the community you serve. Feel free to elaborate on your response(s) in the comments box provided after each question.

Please note that the community you serve may be broader than your particular client base. In general, clients receive direct services, but a community may include those that indirectly benefit. For example:

·         An organization that provides behavioral health care for people experiencing addiction in a particular neighborhood may say it supports clients seeking treatment but may consider itself serving the broader community of neighborhood residents.

·         A charter school might consider children and families to be clients, while its community includes children, families, teachers, staff, and/or the neighborhood.

Examples of community input can include community outreach efforts like town halls, as well as surveys, one-on-one conversations, etc.

*If your organization doesn’t have a Board of Directors, please answer for your governing body/entity that provides similar leadership responsibilities (e.g., Advisory boards)
