Thank you for your interest in NFF financing!  


Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) is a national nonprofit lender and consultant, helping mission-driven organizations adapt, thrive, and drive positive change. 


NFF provides loans and lines of credit starting at $250,000. Below is a list of our current lending eligibility requirements. NFF invites loan inquiries from all organizations that meet our basic criteria:  

  • Is a mission-driven organization (nonprofit organization or social enterprise) that promotes the economic, social or cultural development of its community
  • Has been in existence for at least three years, or in lieu of three years of operating history, has secured funding streams (e.g. executed grants, contracts, contributions and other revenues) and identified reliable sources of repayment for the loan
  • Possesses CPA-prepared audited financial statements

The questions in this form help us better understand the current experiences and challenges facing your organization, to be able to respond with support that meets your needs.  


As a CDFI, NFF is committed to serving communities that have historically been denied access to capital. We ask our prospective clients about their identities and the identities of the communities they serve to understand how we are making progress toward that goal.

Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) is committed to racial equity and we continue to work to make community finance more equitable. We do so as part of our work as a CDFI and as part of our organization’s mission.   

  

NFF collects certain demographic information and data from applicants and clients of its Financing and Consulting services. Such information may include data on the gender, race, and national origin of individuals who lead organizations, and individuals who are served by organizations applying to utilize the services of NFF. As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that receives financial assistance from the CDFI Fund, NFF is subject to various requirements under Federal law, including compiling such demographic data. Such data is used to determine whether NFF is fulfilling its mission and required responsibility to adequately serve designated investment areas and targeted populations; and to evaluate the impact of the CDFI Program.    

  

NFF collects demographic data in a manner that is compliant with applicable laws. NFF collects and reviews various aspects of applicants and clients, including an organization’s mission, impact, financial condition, and connection to community, to make eligibility and credit decisions related to our services and in fulfillment of its mission. NFF does not exclude consideration of any applicant or client on the basis of race, religion, national origin, color, familial status, sex, or disability.

NFF works across the United States, currently serving organizations headquartered in the following states: Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Washington, D.C. Other states and territories will be considered on a case-by-case basis.


Population Served & Program Information
As a CDFI, NFF is committed to actively serving communities that have historically been denied access to capital. We ask questions about the communities being served to help us better understand the populations impacted by our financing. 

If your organization provides services to individuals (e.g., clients, patients, students) please provide information about the individuals you serve or project to serve upon completion. Low-income is an annual income, adjusted for family size, of not more than: (1) for metropolitan areas, 80% of the area median family income; and (2) for non-metropolitan areas, the greater of: 80% of the area median family income; or 80% of the statewide non-metropolitan area median family income.

Determination made by documentation includes collection of documents on beneficiaries’ income and/or addresses, while self-reported data includes beneficiaries’ answering questions about their income and/or addresses.
